About meI am a committed Christian and Chartered Psychologist (HCPC licenced). I run The Cornerstone where I provide 1-2-1 therapeutic discipleship to struggling believers.
As well as my secular training, I have trained extensively through the Christian Counselling Educational Foundation (CCEF) and the therapeutic discipleship I provide is grounded in their Dynamics of Biblical Change framework. I have also trained via the two year local church intern programme run by Biblical Counselling UK & have done the 2 year South West Gospel Partnership's Ministry Training Course. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths'. But this doesn't always feel easy to do, does it?. The storms of life can leave us gripped in difficult emotions, destructive thought patterns and unhelpful behaviours. We can find ourselves drifting away from the narrow path. Doubts about ourselves, others, the world, and God are common. Therapeutic discipleship provides a safe place for you to be heard, understood and helped in the midst of your struggle. My passion is twofold. Firstly, I want to help individuals deepen their faith by connecting the truths of scripture to their personal struggles. Secondly, I want to equip the church to compassionately deliver wise, nuanced pastoral care to those who are struggling. By definition, this will create healthier church cultures. My prayer is through therapeutic discipleship, we will grow together in our knowledge of, dependence on, and love for, Jesus Christ who is The Cornerstone. 2025 - Please accept my apologies but my waiting list is currently closed. |
