The Cornerstone

                                "Caught Up In The WORD!"

(Eph 2:20 [KJV])
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone.

By accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, you can gain everlasting life, and inherit everything that God promises.  (John 14:6 [KJV])

I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The Cornerstone

The concept of the cornerstone is based upon the first stone that is set in a masonry foundation,

and is used as the reference to all stones set after it.  It must be straight and true, so that the

entire structure's strength and positioning are true.

God used the same concept of the cornerstone when He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to this world to save all who believe in Him.  (John 3:16 [KJV])  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The apostle Paul tells us this about the Chief Cornerstone in the book of Ephesians.  (Eph 2:20 [KJV])  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner [stone].

As the Chief Cornerstone of God's perfect spiritual foundation, Jesus Christ is our foundation on

which to build our lives.  We must strive to maintain our lives in alignment with the standard set

forth by Jesus.  Since He is perfect, then we will always have the ability to measure ourselves

against His standard and readjust ourselves when needed.  In fact, Paul tells us that we MUST build upon what Jesus has laid for us.  (1Cor 3:11 [KJV])  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Through wisdom and understanding of what Jesus wants for our lives, we can live a marvelous life of peace, love, and joy through Him.  King Solomon, one of the, if not the wisest of all prophets of God, tells us that The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy [is] understanding.  (Prov 9:10 [KJV])

Jesus walked this earth as a man, taught us many valuable lessons on life and how we are to live it through Him.  He died on the cross for our sins, was risen three days later, and walked on the earth again for 40 plus days. He went back up to heaven, and when He returns again we all need to be ready, or we will be left behind.
